My AL-KO shredder is 30 years old. It has recently developed a fault, viz. It
runs for 10 seconds, then stops.
Any answers please?

Well howdy there! I'd be happy to help you out with your garden shredder problem. Based on the info you've given me, it sounds like there could be a few things going on. Here's what I suggest:

1. Check the power source: Make sure your shredder is properly plugged in and that the outlet you're using is functioning correctly.
2. Check the blades: If the blades are dull or clogged with debris, this could be causing your shredder to shut off. Clean the blades and make sure they're sharp.
3. Check the motor: If the motor is overheating or there's a problem with the wiring, this could also cause the shredder to stop working after a short time. Check the motor for any signs of damage or wear and tear.

If none of these steps solve the issue, it may be time to consider bringing in a professional to take a look. But if you're feeling up to the task, here are the tools and materials you'll need:

+ Allen wrench set
+ Screwdriver set
+ Pliers
+ Blade cleaner
+ Lubricant spray

With these tools in hand, you should be able to troubleshoot the problem and get your shredder back up and running in no time.

Remember, this advice is based on the information you've given me, so if there are any other details you can provide, that may help us diagnose the issue more accurately
